The Monkey fly has exploded onto the Atlantic salmon scene in recent times. Famed for its capacity to lure salmon when conventional flies have failed in temps above 50 degrees this tube is finding its way into many salmon boxes. But it does not end there, Ron has proved beyond doubt that this fly works equally well when swinging deep in cooler waters also. The tungsten Monkey tube is best fished from a fairly square cast and left to swing deep in a nice big ark, do not mend unless towards your own bank. Strip in quickly from the dangle as this one really gets down to where the fish are in cold water.

A superb fly for early spring salmon fishing anywhere - we have 3 colours in the set, yellow, hot orange and green. They are going to make a huge mark abroad this season so if you have fishing booked in Russia, Norway or Iceland you need one or two of these to definately score.
