The Monkey fly has exploded onto the scene on the Scottish river Deeand is a big favourite now with many anglers. In essence a Sunray Shadow type fly with stats to match and a little more attitude! The conehead will take this plastic tube sub-surface so it is suited better for spring and autumn salmon fishing. For best results let the fly swing from a square cast and do notmend your line unless you mend towards your own bank to speed up the fly. Monkey hair is very rare so most of these flies are tied using goat hair but I think you will agree the result looks stunning. This is a must have fly for 2011 so get some in your tube box fast!
